Visit The Meadowhawk Lodge in Hoover Forest Preserve and learn about the Kendall County Forest Preserve “Project Hoover” school program.
This program engages middle school and high school students within an authentic habitat management project at Hoover Forest Preserve. The program includes field experiences introducing students to the rich natural, geologic, and cultural histories of Hoover Forest Preserve, while participating within a large-scale habitat restoration initiative. We will also hear from students that have participated in this program.
After the presentation, we will head outside and do restoration work alongside Kendall County Forest Preserve District’s Natural Resource and Education Staff. Please dress for the weather and in clothes that you don’t mind getting dirty or snagged. We will have safety glasses and gloves but feel free to bring your own!
