In Sunday's Gospel, John the Baptist tells people that God's coming is near and urges them to prepare.  He baptizes those who repent of their sins and resolve to turn their hearts to God.

Watch the video below and answer the following questions.
Who is it that comes to prepare the way for Jesus?
What is it that John does?  How is this different than what Jesus will do?
How does this Gospel remind us to prepare during Advent?
This week's Eucharistic Reflection talks about changing the substance of bread and wine into the Body and Blood of Jesus.  As Catholics, we believe that Jesus is truly with us in the Eucharist - Body, Blood, Soul and Divinity.  When you are at Mass this week, pay special attention to the prayers Fr. Bill says at the consecration.  If Deacon Bruce is at Mass, listen for when the bells are rung.  When the bells are rung, the Holy Spirit is being called upon to transform the bread and wine into the Body and Blood.  Listen to the words Father says.  Do you remember the words that were used when Father called upon the Holy Spirit?    Try to make sure to listen carefully for these prayers each time you are at Mass, and know that something beautiful is happening.
