The world is facing unprecedented multiple challenges, linked not only to this terrible war in Ukraine, but also to the ongoing health crisis, to climate change and to economic, social and political instabilities everywhere. These crises threaten to overturn well-established theoretical frameworks, approaches and categories, which also deeply affects education and the production of knowledge. There will only be a way out of these crises through joint action in solidarity. Sharpening this sense of solidarity and collective action will therefore be one of the main tasks for educational programmes in the coming years.
Even though, or rather precisely because of these unprecedented times and after an involuntary break of two years, the ENCLE conference wants again to be an important annual meeting place, aimed at bringing clinicians together from across Europe and abroad and at enhancing solidarity as an important value in our societies.
The Conference is structured to facilitate as much participation as possible. While there will be a small number of plenary sessions, most of the conference will consist of parallel sessions providing many opportunities for delegates to share ideas, experience, and teaching materials. The ENCLE conference is planned as a in person conference with some sessions also available through online participation (either in hybrid format or as online only sessions). If this format is not feasible due to the ongoing health crisis, the conference will be transferred to an entirely online format.
