Coaches’
Code of Conduct
1. Set
a good example for the participants and fans to follow.
2. Respect
officials and their judgment and abide by the rules of the event.
3. Treat
opposing coach, participants, and spectators with respect.
4. Instruct
participants in sportsmanship and demand they display good sportsmanship.
5. Coach
in a positive manner and do not use derogatory comments or abusive language.
6. You
are responsible for your assistant’s behavior.
7. At
least two adults present at all practices and events.
8. Any
complaints concerning a coach who has violated this code shall be brought to
attention by the program director.
9. All
complaints will be thoroughly investigated, and penalties may occur at the
discretion if the league commissioners, whose
decision will be final.
10. Coaches may be
placed on probation, suspended, or dismissed from program activities for
violation of this code or for behavior detrimental to the program.
11. Each coach will be
subject to a child abuse and criminal background check.
