Events and Programs
Join a visionary group of campus partners to identify major programmatic opportunities to help build a supportive culture and community within the Elliott School. Major contributions will include working on the following support for the Diverse Perspectives in International Affairs Series, cultural and identity based heritage month programs, and generating any new program ideas centering diversity and inclusion within Elliott.
Student Recruitment and Retention
Help foster a more holistic and meaningful experience for our students through the development of  recruitment and retention initiatives. Major opportunities include developing affinity groups, community outreach to K-12 schools, expanding our partnership with Public Policy and International Affairs Program (PPIA) and hosting Public Service Weekend (PSW), partnerships with Minority Serving Institutions, seeking fellowship and funding opportunities, and implementing the International Affairs Summer Immersion Program.
Curriculum and Development
Join a group of individuals committed to fostering an inclusive community within Elliott and at GW through curriculum and faculty development. Major opportunities of contribution include developing purposeful faculty and staff development workshops, inclusive teaching initiatives, integrating implicit bias into core classes, and curriculum development strategies focused on diversity, equity, and inclusion. The goal is to deepen our community’s cultural competence and applied inclusive practices.
