Outsider Art Festivalin OAF Akatemiaan haetaan taiteilijoita vuosille 2024 ja 2025!
OAF Akatemia on uusi taideohjelma, joka tukee outsider-taiteilijoiden työllistymistä kuvataiteen, esittävän taiteen, musiikin, elokuvan, kirjallisuuden ja mediataiteen aloilla. Ohjelman tuottaa Pertin Valinta ja rahoittaa Koneen Säätiö.
OAF Akatemian ensimmäisen ohjelmakauden teemana on valta. Hakijoiden tulee kertoa, miten ohjelman teema liittyy taiteilijan työskentelyyn. OAF Akatemia tarjoaa kuudelle taiteilijalle 6kk työskentelyjakson, 15 000 € apurahan, mentorin ja ohjelman koordinaattorin tuen sekä työtilaa Pertin Valinnassa, Hakaniemessä. Ohjelmassa työskentelevien taiteilijoiden työskentelyjaksojen tuloksena syntyy kuusi tilaustyötä eri taiteen aloilta sekä kuusi erilaista tarinaa ja näkemystä teemaan liittyen. Teokset esitetään osana Outsider Art Festivalin ohjelmaa vuosina 2023, 2024 ja 2025.

Miten ohjelmaan pääsee mukaan?
OAF Akatemian taiteilijat valitaan avoimen haun tai kutsun kautta. Taiteilijavalinnat tekee taiteellinen ja tuotannollinen työryhmä. Ohjelmaan haetaan suomalaisella outsider-taiteen kentällä toimivia taiteilijoita, joilla on erityistä osaamista, kokemusta tai näkemystä ohjelman valta-teemaan liittyen, sekä edellytykset työskennellä 6 kk ajan projektin parissa joko itsenäisesti tai tuetusti. Vain ohjelmaan valituille henkilöille ilmoitetaan valinnan tuloksista.
Jos tiedät ohjelmaan sopivan taiteilijan, voit tehdä ehdotuksen tällä lomakkeella. Voit myös hakea itse OAF Akatemiaan tällä lomakkeella.

OAF Academy is looking for new artists for 2024 and 2025!
OAF Academy is a new art program that supports the employment of outsider artists in the fields of visual arts, performing arts, music, film, literature and media arts. The program is intended for outsider artists that are working or living in Finland. OAF Academy is produced by Pertti’s Choice and funded by Kone Foundation.
The theme of OAF Academy is power. Applicants should explain how the theme of power relates to their artistic work. OAF Academy provides six artists with a 6-month working period, a grant of 15 000€, the support of a mentor and the coordinator of the program, and a workspace at Pertti's Choice, located in Helsinki's Hakaniemi. The working periods of the artists will result in six commissioned works from different artistic disciplines and six different stories and visions related to the theme of the program. The works will be presented as part of the Outsider Art Festival programme in 2023, 2024 and 2025.

How to get involved in the program?OAF Academy artists are selected through an open call or by invitation. The artists are selected by OAF artistic team and OAF production team. OAF Academy is for artists who have special talent, experience or vision in relation to the theme of the program, and the ability to work on the project for 6 months, either independently or with support. Only those selected for the program will be informed of the outcome of the selection.
