The VRC is a hub of cooperation and community, and our membership consists of individuals, organizations, and even small businesses who are engaged in the community.

GUIDELINES REGARDING MEMBERSHIP PROCEDURE AND USE OF SERVICES
The Voluntary Resource Council is an organization whose goals are:
1. to promote and improve communication and co-operation among non-profit voluntary
organizations on PEI;
2. to provide services and facilities for voluntary organizations and co-ordinate programs for them;
3. to study and promote voluntarism in the Province; and
4. to assist voluntary organizations in their development.
We believe that all activities of the Voluntary Resource Council should foster harmony and cooperation
in the voluntary sector.

The Voluntary Resource Council will refuse membership to any group or individual promoting
activities which are sexist, homophobic, racist, encourage religious intolerance or which may
discriminate against human rights.


ORGANIZATION AND INDIVIDUAL MEMBERSHIP PROCEDURE

Individuals or organizations wishing to become members of the VRC must fill out an “Application for
Membership” form which will be given consideration by the Board. The various benefits listed below
are available to individuals or groups only after the Board has approved the application. The applicant
will continue to have non-member status until the application is approved. Once a decision has been
made, prospective members will be contacted and informed of the Board’s approval. A bill for
membership fees will then be issued to the member. Member groups may obtain a key and security code
for the building ($6/key).

Concerning Membership Status and Use of Services

Benefits which come with membership are photocopy access code, use of VRC meeting room at no
charge (check availability via a shared Google Calendar), networking newsletter, and reduced rates for administrative
services. A full list of services is available upon request.

Membership is conditional on the acceptance of the above statement. I, the undersigned, have read or
