Introduction to Labor Studies Survey
Welcome to Introduction to Labor Studies (POLS 249/SOC 266/HSTCMP 249)!

At one point of time or another, we are all workers. But our experiences with work and labor are not necessarily the same. We work in different industries and get paid differently. Some of us belong to unions, most of us don't. Some of us identify with our jobs, while some of us hate them.

How about the students in this class? In order to give us a better sense of your experiences with work and labor, and the experiences of your family, I am conducting this brief survey. The survey should take you less than 5 minutes to complete.

The collective results of the survey will be shared during a class lecture as charts and word clouds.  Individual responses will not be shared. UW net IDs are being collected in order to provide you credit for your response, but the information you share will otherwise not be connected to you.

With the exception of two optional questions at the end, all questions are required. For select questions, I have also included a "prefer not to answer" option.

Your response is due by the end of the day on Monday, January 8.

Thanks for participating! - Andrew Hedden, instructor, heddena@uw.edu
