East Central ISD Employee Preschool Program
In Partnership with the Early Childhood Special Education Program (ECSE)

PURPOSE
The purpose of the PRESCHOOL PROGRAM is to provide age-appropriate learning experiences for preschool age children with disabilities by creating an inclusive, developmentally appropriate environment in which all children experience success.

ENROLLMENT
EMPLOYEE’S child/children must be typically developing preschoolers, turning three upon enrollment.  A waiting list will be kept for employees wanting their child to be put on a waiting list that is not yet three.

PARENT/GUARDIAN of the child must be an EMPLOYEE of East Central ISD.

The classroom will consist of ten children whose PARENT/GUARDIAN is an East Central ISD EMPLOYEE plus pre-school children with special needs who reside in the East Central ISD attendance area.

PARENT/GUARDIAN is responsible for providing the school with the following:
*Up to date shot records as defined by the East Central ISD policy.
*Complete East Central ISD Registration form.
*Complete East Central ISD Health Services and Emergency Information form.
*Copy of State Birth Certificate and Copy of Social Security Card

Upon separation from the school district the parent/guardian must find a replacement child care facility outside of the ECISD Employee Preschool program. Dismissal from ECISD Employee Preschool will take effect on the last day of parent/family member employment with the district.

TUITION
Tuition will be $3,150.00 for the school year, monthly payments of $350.00.
Tuition will be paid through a payroll deduction, with the first payment deducted from the EMPLOYEE’S September paycheck and the last payment deducted from the EMPLOYEE’S May paycheck.

TRANSPORTATION
Parents provide all transportation.  District transportation will not be provided.

CLASS HOURS
Childcare is provided on East Central ISD Staff Development/Workdays that are held prior to the start of the school year and on Staff Development/Workdays that are held during the school year.   When the entire staff is released early, children will need to be picked up by 3:15 p.m.
Children must be escorted daily to and from the designated area by an authorized adult at drop off and pick-up. Children may be brought to the designated as early as 7:00 a.m. and MUST be picked up no later than 5:00 p.m.  A sign out sheet will be maintained.

DAILY ACTIVITIES/OTHER INFORMATION
PARENT/GUARDIAN is responsible for providing breakfast/lunch. PARENT/GUARDIAN may add funds to the child's lunch account or send a sack lunch.  You will need to provide Breakfast, lunch and snack on Staff Development/Workdays.  All children will be asked to provide a class snack on a rotation basis.
The children will be encouraged to rest at least 45 minutes each day.
Children may take field trips during the school year.  Fees, including transportation, will be the responsibility of the PARENT/GUARDIAN.

The children will receive a Developmental Report every 4 ½ weeks  to measure progress in the PRESCHOOL PROGRAM.

PLEASE NOTE:  Tuition for the PRESCHOOL PROGRAM is paid by the EMPLOYEE through an East Central ISD payroll deduction.  EMPLOYEES will not be able to participate in the Childcare Deduction Program under the Section 125 Cafeteria Plan.  The Childcare Deduction Program is a reimbursement account.  Since tuition for the PRESCHOOL PROGRAM is processed through payroll deduction rather than reimbursement, tuition fees are not eligible for tax sheltering under the Section 125 Cafeteria Plan.

You will need to complete a campus enrollment form for the school year.  A copy of the Preschool Agreement will be sent to payroll to initiate payroll deduction starting September.  If you child will still be three years old the following year and you would like them to stay in Employee Preschool, please send an email to ecisd.prek@ecisd.net.

Please read our East Central Employee Preschool Handbook.

If you have more than one child that you would like to place on our waiting list, you must complete a separate form.

Thank you.
