General School Information
Welcome to Muhammad University of Islam, a distinguished institution dedicated to providing an exceptional educational experience rooted in the principles of the Nation of Islam. Under the divine guidance and teachings of the Most Honorable Elijah Muhammad and the Honorable Minister Louis Farrakhan, M.U.I. stands as an independent, faith-based school.
Catering to students from kindergarten through high school, M.U.I. offers a comprehensive learning environment that nurtures both academic excellence and spiritual growth. In alignment with our beliefs, the school is committed to maintaining separation between brothers and sisters, fostering an environment that supports individual development. Brothers engage in their studies during the morning hours, from 8:00 am to 12:00 pm, while sisters take their turn in the afternoon, from 12:00 pm to 4:15 pm.
Recognizing the value of education, M.U.I. operates as a tuition-based institution, ensuring that our resources are effectively channeled into providing an enriching learning journey for our students. Our academic calendar spans 11 months, from September to August, enabling us to offer continuous educational opportunities throughout the year.
At M.U.I., we uphold a standard of discipline and unity through our uniform dress code and code of conduct. These principles not only cultivate a sense of identity but also foster an environment of respect and cooperation among our students.
While we remain committed to providing a quality education, it's important to note that, at this time, we do not have a specialized program or staffing for children with special needs. Consequently, we regrettably are unable to offer the tailored services required for these students.
Thank you for considering Muhammad University of Islam for your educational journey. We invite you to become part of our community, where knowledge, faith, and personal growth converge.
NOTE: If you have multiple children, you are required to complete and individual form for each child.
A general assessment will be administered to each applicant before approval for enrollment. Students are assigned and placed based upon their current academic performance and assessment.
