You will receive a copy of this completed application.  Check your spam folder & if it doesn't arrive in your inbox or spam folder, the applications isn't completed.  If you receive a copy, I've received a copy.  Please be patient as I review applications.  I am a volunteer and this is a 100% volunteer run organization and we receive many applications for the many dogs we have in our adoption program. 

WE RESERVE THE RIGHT TO NOT ADOPT TO ADOPTERS THAT USE THE FOLLOWING VETERINARY CLINICS AS THEIR PRIMARY VETERINARIANS:

- Kingston Road Animal Hospital, Toronto
- VETS Toronto, Toronto
- Dundas West Animal Hospital, Toronto 
- The Maples Animal Hospital

We take adoption seriously! Our adoption process is as such:

Complete the below adoption application.  

If we decide to move forward because you're a match .... (we are unable to contact everyone, but follow us on Facebook and you'll know if the dog you applied for has been adopted.)

1) We'll set up a telephone interview.  

2) We will then send an adoption contract and medical records for review only so you fully understand the terms of adoption

3) We'll then arrange a virtual home visit

4) We'll then do vet check references

5) We'll then arrange a meet and greet with the chosen pet, in your home, lasting 2-3 hours, to see if the match is still a great one!  

When the dog's profile is removed, it means we've started reviewing applications to begin the adoption process.  

When the profile is removed, it could take a couple days to confirm an adoption or a couple weeks, or even longer. If the profile is still up, we're still accepting applications - and I haven't yet begun reviewing applications.

If you're completing an adoption application, be sure you're ready to bring a dog home now, not later, if you're chosen to move through the adoption process.

PLEASE: I receive 100's of applications weekly.  As a volunteer run organization, there is not enough man-power to respond to follow ups on your application.  Please do not email asking for status updates.  It just fills up my inbox on an already full inbox.

I'LL REPEAT: When the profile is removed, it could take a couple days to confirm an adoption or a couple weeks, or longer. If the profile is still up, we're still accepting applications - and I haven't yet begun reviewing applications.

ADULT/PUPPIES: Adoption fee includes: spay/neuter, deworming, defleaing, vaccinations, nose to tail health exam, go home flea/tick preventative (depending on season and need), leash|collar, starting supply of current food dog, toys, stage 3/4 dental extractions/cleaning as determined by our veterinarian & custom dog tag that needs to be picked up at Mattie's Place, dishes, poop bags and extras as we have available.

* Please note, some dogs may have varied adoption fees based on dog being a senior, medical needs or other various reasons.  Adoption fees are noted in dog profiles so please confirm adoption fee for each specific dog before applying.
