Save NU Green Spaces
Northeastern University prides itself on its status as an arboretum: its greenery provides an escape from the cityscape of Boston. It is essential to the mental and physical health of students, staff, and faculty.

In response to COVID-19, Northeastern Administration has been covering several green spaces on campus in order to make space for outdoor dining tents. They have failed to consult the student body in determining which spaces would be best suited for these tents, and they have failed to notify students once a determination had been made.

According to three surveyors spotted today, administration's next target is West Village Quad. In a world where indoor gatherings are limited and restricted, students use this quad to watch lectures, balance on tightropes, relax on hammocks, and see friends in a safe/healthy way -- now, more than ever. We can't let this space be taken from us.

Join us for a sit-in tomorrow to protest the removal of green space on campus and to hold your administration accountable.
