Skagway Child Care Council Swim Day- August!
Hello parents!

Please remember, children ages 0-9 must be accompanied by a parent, guardian or parent-arranged supervisor. A parent of children ages 0-2 will be required in the pool with the child.

Prices: For children ages 0-9, $40**/child/day*; For children ages 10-13, $35/child/day*.

*If your child attends all 3 swim days and we are able to confirm a 4th swim day, the 4th day will be free.
** Price includes one parent, guardian or parent-arranged supervisor per child/family group
Additional parents that would like to attend are $25/adult/day
Limited Space, First-come, First- Serve

To accommodate all of the kids and parents, we are adding a boat that will adjust our travel schedule for the Skagway Swimming Days on August 7th, 14th and 21st.

Group A will go Depart Skagway: 9 am,  Depart Haines: 3 pm;
Group B will go  Depart Skagway: 11 am, Depart Haines: 5 pm.

Children Ages 10-13 will be placed in group B.

This will allow us to maintain smaller class sizes and give everyone 30-45 minute swim lessons with a free swim time at the end.

For families with younger kids, our swim instructor will review registered family units and assign kids to a group with similar skills.

Children must bring their own lunch and snacks, swim suit and towel, and wear suitable walking shoes. Life jackets will be provided at the pool for those in need.

Parents must sign a liability waiver for their kids before the child will be allowed on the ferry. The waiver will be emailed to registered parents and available at the docks the morning of.

Payment must be Cash or Check (made out to Skagway Child Care Council.) and will be collected at the ferry.

If you child is over the age of 10, please list any medical conditions that chaperones will need to be aware of (such as diabetes, asthma, etc).  This is an all day, physical activity.
We are expecting to have to walk 1.6 miles total during this day. If you would like your child to participate in this program but this much walking makes it prohibitive, please let us know. We will see if we can work with the Haines School to borrow a vehicle if need be.
