Neighborhood House Community Impact Internships are open to youth in grades 9-12.
Paid Community Impact Interns work directly with Neighborhood House staff in one of three focus areas - youth development, food security, and center. Each intern will spend time orienting to Neighborhood House, supporting programs, and developing and implementing a project/program at the center.
School Year Internships run from September through May/June.
Summer Internships run from June through August.
Starting wage is $14.01. Interns work between 2 and 6 hours per week.
Interested individuals should complete an application.
Youth development interns may planĀ lead afterschool and summer camp activities, help with field trips, snack and free time, or tutor younger students.
Food security interns staff the food pantry during open hours, create and distribute educational material, prepare and serve community meals, host pop up pantries, hand out produce in summer or stock the pantry.
Center support interns may work as a greeter at the front desk, clean and organize at the center, complete administrative and clerical task, answer questions and direct center guests.
Event interns help plan and implement summer events including live music, outdoor movies, speakers, open houses and more.
