Participants will explore the lakes and wetlands of Pocahontas County, participating in activities like fishing, kayaking, and a marsh stomp.
Mythbusters
Campers will join naturalist Adam as we try to solve all of sciences greatest unknowns like, “Can you drop an egg off a roof?”, “If a tree falls in the woods and no one is around to hear it, does it make a sound?”, and “Can the sun cook my food?”
The Campfire Games
Come one and come all for a day of sporting in fun events like double ball, archery, and a bear hunt??????
Some rules for camp
- Fill out one form for each camper
- Each camp costs $10 per camper per day
- Cash or check can be sent to Pocahontas Conservation Office (702 NW 7th St, Pocahontas, IA 50574)
- Close toed shoes required for all camps
- Each camper is responsible for bringing their own lunch, sunscreen, and bugspray
- Snacks will be provided
- In the event at inclement weather all programs will still go on at Pocahontas Nature Center
