The reSET Professional Network provides an opportunity to use your professional skills, creativity, and unique life perspectives to advise and develop startups.  Becoming a reSET Professional sharpens your critical thinking skills, helps you further develop your professional network, contributes to the economic revitalization of CT, and it is a relevant and substantive addition to your résumé.

You are a reSET Professional if you’re an experienced entrepreneur, business professional (corporate executive/employee), vertical expert (lawyer, accountant, etc.), or investor, and have a passion for new and exciting ideas and the ability to collaborate effectively.

As a reSET Professional, your identity and availability will remain confidential until you accept an opportunity to engage with an entrepreneur- Only reSET will be contacting you with opportunities that align with your expertise.  The initial process of engaging with entrepreneurs is managed by reSET to ensure maximum value and efficiency to both parties.

This is a volunteer opportunity where you can choose your own level of involvement.  Your commitment can be as LITTLE as simply getting an email from reSET when an entrepreneur encounters a challenge that aligns with your expertise; if you accept, based on your interest and availability, then an email connection is made.  If you’re busy that day, week, or month- no problem!- we will contact you when the next opportunity that fits your profile comes our way.  Your commitment can be as BIG as potentially hosting office hours at reSET a few times a month where entrepreneurs schedule blocks of time to meet with you.

Ultimately, we encourage you to register as a reSET Professional so that we at least have a record of your expertise in our database.

Once registered, you will receive reSET Professional Email Briefings with details on how to start engaging with entrepreneurs and startups along with a list of upcoming events and important dates.  You will be invited to exclusive reSET programming events, Mentor/Venture networking opportunities, and be on the front lines of innovation as part of the most sought-after resource by entrepreneurs – the reSET Professional Network!

Guest Speaker *
Share your expertise and experience with entrepreneurs and business professionals.  Guest speakers participate in panel discussions, lead workshops, facilitate focus groups, and give presentations within the reSET Impact Accelerator or at other times throughout the programming year.
Business Plan Judge *
Help identify the most impactful startups by providing feedback on startup applications received throughout the reSET programming year.  Reviewers are industry experts, experienced entrepreneurs, business professionals, and investors, who can identify market opportunities, entrepreneurial drive, and the many other factors it takes for a startup to succeed.
