WHS DECA Business Competition: Judge Sign Up
The Massachusetts DECA State Competition will be held in person in Boston on March 8, 2024. To help prepare the Weston High School students who qualified to compete, the school's DECA Club is organizing a mock competition at the school.

Toward that end, the club seeks business professionals residing in Weston to serve as judges. We anticipate the time commitment for judges will be 90 to 120 minutes. As to timing, we're choosing between two potential dates at Weston High School: Wed., Feb. 28, at 7 p.m., or Sat., Mar. 2, at 1 p.m.

Your interest in serving as a judge is greatly appreciated. Please fill out the form below to register. The registration deadline is Friday, February 9.

Once we finalize the competition date and judging assignments in mid-February, we'll reach out to you with more details.

We're choosing between two potential dates for the mock competition. Please indicate whether you're available on either or both of the following dates.
At the mock competition, there will be two types of events:
1. Business-plan presentations. For several months, groups of students have worked on business plans for selected products. Each student will have 15 minutes to present their plan to you. Students will come prepared with slideshow presentations, handouts, and prewritten scripts.
2. Role plays. Students will be given 30 minutes on the spot to read a business challenge and develop a plan of action to address it. Each student will then have 15 minutes to present their plan to you, and you'll pose a pre-determined set of questions.

What type of event are you interested in judging? Please check all that apply.
