COVID -19 Safety Plan requirements for Classes at Kindermusik with Shirley

By enrolling in and attending classes at Kindermusik with Shirley during COVID-19 restrictions, I am aware of and agreeable to the following:

Enrollment forms must be completed prior to commencing classes and contact details kept up to date. If someone other than the child’s parent is attending classes, we require their name and contact details also

Parents / caregiver’s are responsible for supervising their child to ensure their safety.

Please arrive at class just prior to start time. If you are early, wait outside. We need to allow time for changeover of one class to the next so that the numbers permitted in the hall are adhered to at all times. Please refrain from bringing excessive personal items to class including but not limited to prams, shopping bags, toys etc the aim is to reduce the amount of touch surfaces

Upon entering and leaving class please use the hand sanitiser provided and/or wash hands. You are also encouraged to bring your own sanitiser and antibacterial wipes for use during class.

At the end of class please do not congregate and remain in the hall or foyer areas to make way for cleaning and arrival of the next group.

Instruments/props will be handed out by teacher and will not be shared. After use instruments will be placed in a bag and not reused until cleaned /disinfected after class. It is the parent’s responsibility to supervise their child to avoid mouthing of equipment. If parents prefer, they are welcome to bring their own equipment which must be stored in a sealed container and not shared.

Mats will be placed on the floor as your place to sit in keeping with social distancing requirements. Please adhere to the 1.5 metre rule for social distancing

Please do not come to class if you or your child is sick. Make up classes will be available where there are places available. The teacher reserves the right to refuse entry to any class member that displays COVID-19 type symptoms. Parents must call or text to notify of absence so a place can be offered to families requiring a makeup class.

In the event that we should be forced into lockdown classes will resume online to complete the term. Online Zoom classes proved to be an effective substitute particularly with parent participation and assistance. All lessons will continue to be prepared and presented in the regular manner following the current Kindermusik curricula. Refer to the “Kindermusik with Shirley” registration policy regarding cancellation and discuss concerns prior to enrolment
