Join APA for an hourlong discussion on the subject of prosecuting capital-eligible hate crimes and mass violence cases. This Brown Bag session will be held
September 21, 2022 at 3pm ET/12pm PT and will feature an overview of the Portland Train Attack before opening the floor to discussion from all. The goal of the CCLI Brown Bag sessions is to bring together capital case and complex homicide prosecutors to discuss a variety of emerging issues and topics; to workshop ideas together and arrive at solutions; and to connect individuals to resources and a larger network of prosecutors.
This discussion will be moderated by Jeff Howes, First Assistant of the Multnomah County District Attorney's Office.
This is a virtual event. Session is open only to capital case and complex homicide prosecutors (i.e. not investigators, advocates, or other non-prosecutorial staff) and will not be recorded or disseminated in any way, nor will any comments or discussions be attributed, to encourage an open discussion. Registrants may be asked to provide further information to verify their employment ahead of the call.
PLEASE NOTE: attendance will be capped at 20 registrants.
