EarthCube Geochronology Sparrow — Fall 2022 Workshop (October 7-8)
The NSF EarthCube-supported Geochronology Frontiers project is pleased to announce its final workshop, immediately preceding GSA 2022. During this workshop, we will outline several products of this lab–informatics collaboration: the Sparrow lab information management system, new tools and data formats supporting geochemical data interchange, and the capabilities, integrations, and data products based on these new tools.

We will also seek to survey the “state of the art” in geochemical data handling, seek input from geochemical labs and data synthesis workers on potential improvements to these capabilities, discuss integration with other community efforts, and plan future efforts to build more capable, scalable, and collaborative digital systems for Earth data handling. See the following page for a draft agenda.

Attendance will be open to all interested parties. Monetary support will be provided for up to 30 researchers to attend the workshop, with a preference given to early-career researchers and community members engaged in related work.

If you are interested in attending the meeting, please complete the form below to receive further correspondence. All responses aside from email address are optional.
