This five-session series will equip you with the tools to take your academic writing style to the next level.
You will learn how to:
- clarify your meaning in complex sentences ("Make It Clear," Part 1)
- cut down your word count so that every word matters ("Cut It In Half," Part 2)
- enhance the flow and coherence of your sentences and paragraphs ("Help It Flow," Part 3)
- add "good words" to increase clarity and thick description ("Use Good Words," Part 4)
- explore rhetorical devices and have fun with punctuation ("Make It Sing," Part 5).
This interactive workshop series will offer diverse and creative methods for styling writing. We will engage with examples from academic, technical, and creative writing to get us thinking about the context of "good style.”
