TMIRCE Seneca 7 Survey
Do you want to do a team race together in the finger lakes?

In 2018, we ran a 77mi relay race around Seneca Lake, biking when we weren't running, and spent the rest of the weekend at a massive beach house with a hot tub.

The race website is here: http://www.seneca7.com/.  I'm trying to gauge interest now so that we can register team(s) at the end of October.  The race takes place on April 26th.

Each runner runs about 11 miles (77 / 7 = 11) split into three legs.  Some of the legs are a bit hilly!

Biking is a team decision.  It makes it much easier to register - you get an extra day, when the race typically fills up in 3 minutes, otherwise.  It also makes it into less of a mini-Ragnar and more of a holy-crap-we've-been-moving-for-ten-plus-hours accomplishment.  Bike teams can receive no vehicular aid.  It is extra challenging.

Van teams are probably fun, too!  You have to rent or otherwise have a vehicle capable of carrying 6 stinky friends all day, and you each just run your 3 ~3mi legs in turn.  We didn't do this, so I can't speak for it.

Registration costs about $76 per person.  We'll want team shirts (probably around $20).  We'll want an AirBnB near-ish the lake, probably for a long weekend, and we'll probably do a mix of eating out and cooking group meals around the race.  If you're on a bike team, we need at least six bikes per team, tuned up and ready for a long haul, so you probably want to have a bike that'll be comfortable for a long day of road riding.
Do you want to be a team captain?
We think each team should have a team captain, responsible for registering the team on the race web site, coordinating with team members, collecting money, and generally making sure everybody is in the right place at the right time.
