THE SMCC to USM TRANSFER–SPRING EVENTS FOR THE SMCC STUDENT

“THE SMCC To USM Transfer” Information Sessions at SMCC on the “Third Friday” of every month. Learn how the SMCC to USM transfer process works.  All information sessions take place at 10:00 A.M. in Preble, room 108 at SMCC.  Feel free to stop by at any or all of these sessions.  

  • February 23 (this one actually the "Fourth Friday" of the month)

  • May 17
  • June 21

Tours of the USM Portland Campus on the “Third Friday” of every month.  See the campus, including the new Student Center, the Financial Aid office, the Registrar, and Student Advising.  Meet the people who will help you before you even arrive on campus. These are held on the “Third Friday” of every month.  Tours meet at 2 PM.

FAFSA Completion Afternoon: Applicants and admitted students are invited to complete the FAFSA form.  We will have a computer lab ready and USM financial aid advisors here to help you.

  • February 27 at 4 PM. 

Russell Scholars Afternoon: Sit in on "Hot Stuff," a cool class on climate action, learn about the Russell Scholars Transfer Community and how it can help you in your first semester at USM, tour the Portland campus…. and enjoy lunch!

Liberal Studies....Launch and Lunch: Join us for lunch and learn about how Liberal Studies classes at SMCC can become a degree at USM!

  • Friday, April 12 at noon. 

Thinking Matters: Visit the campus to hear SMCC and USM students present their research projects, sit in on student research presentations, and ask questions about the admissions and enrollment process.
