Band Literature Assignment
Choose music for a band concert that goes well together. You need to choose contrasting styles, tempos, and composers. Pick THREE different pieces: one to open the concert, a slower lyrical selection, and a closer. Use the website jwpepper to search for music. If you want to find something that we could play in band, we generally play music that is rated easy or medium easy.

Here's the link to jwpepper: https://www.jwpepper.com/sheet-music/concert-band-music.jsp

Go to jwpepper.com. There is a BAND tab with the option to choose concert (do not choose marching or jazz). On the LEFT, there will be options to limit your search by different styles of music (marches, lyrical selections, chorales, openers, etc.), difficulty level, etc. The Concert and Contest option is a great way to start your search.

A lot of the music will have a a recording you can listen to. Listen to the recording to see if you like the piece or not.

You need to pick out pieces by yourselves. This is not a group project.
THIS IS DUE AT THE END OF CLASS. If you close this web browser your work will NOT be saved.
