長い間mouth to mouthは言語エクスチェンジとして開催されてきて、参加者同士が自分の得意い言語をお互いにシェアし合うことで言葉も世界も広げってきました。今まで主に英語と日本語で世界のニュースについて話し合ったり、また生活に必要な簡単な会話も勉強してきました。これからこのプログラムを言語エクスチェンジだけではなく、知恵や情報交換の場として展開していきたいと思っています。先生と生徒の関係ではなく、国籍とルーツと関係なくて同じ立場で日本の国際社会で生き延びるために情報や知識を共有していきます。

mouth to mouth  language exchange and support for foreign residents

mouth to mouth has long been running as a language exchange event in which participants have the chance to share their mother(other) tongues with each other and expand each others worlds. To date this exchange has mainly focused upon English and Japanese, covering topical issues of current events, to the much needed conversation skills for getting by in everyday life. From this year on we aim to open up this program not just as an exchange of language but also as an exchange of knowledge and information between participants as equals and help each other in our daily living in Japan whilst getting to know more about situations and events in other parts of the world. No matter what your nationality or ethnic roots we need each others’ support and understanding to live together in our international society, so let’s share what we can together.
