San Francisco Pride will prioritize the provision of media credentials to Media Professionals on active assignment. SF Pride defines “Media Professionals” as journalists, photographers, editors, or producers who have a verified and specific editorial assignment to cover the Parade and/or Celebration for a recognized media outlet (print, online, TV, radio) that generates original content about San Francisco Pride, its events, or its participants.  

Bloggers, freelance journalists who lack an assignment editor, and independent photographers must authenticate their application by providing links to their blogs, portfolios, or previous published work. Credentials for bloggers and freelancers are limited and will be evaluated carefully.

Photographers wishing to cover the Parade will have limited access to the Route, for safety and logistical reasons. Information about Parade Route permissions will be supplied upon provision of credentials. Media credential badges are to be worn at all times on the Parade Route.

Access to the Celebration Site is free, and all who enter regardless of credential status must complete a security screening before entering. Information about restrictions on what can be brought into the Celebration Site will be furnished prior to the event. Media credential badges are to be worn at all times while performing duties related to your coverage.

Please note that completion of this application is only a request. SF Pride reserves the right to approve or deny credentialing. SF Pride reserves the right to rescind media credentials at any time. The decision is final and cannot be appealed.
