Pharmacy Technician Apprenticeship Application
The application period for the Pharmacy Technician Apprenticeship program ended on April 8. The program is no longer pursuing new candidates at this time.

To be considered for the apprenticeship, you must be eligible to work in healthcare, gain acceptance into the pharmacy tech program at Lake Michigan College, and be employed (or have an employment offer letter) from Spectrum Lakeland Health, and meet all eligibility requirements.

Apprenticeship funds may be used for tuition and fees, required textbooks, required materials (as specified in course syllabus or program guide), and licensing exam fees. Services are provided free of cost.

Action Steps for Current Applicants:

Step 1:

Your next step is to make an appointment for intake and CASAS testing at a Michigan Works! Service Center or a remote appointment through Zoom. You must have a Windows 10 computer and internet to complete the remote assessment.

Step Two

Apply for Admission to Lake Michigan College (if applicable)
Submit Transcripts to Lake Michigan College and/or Take Accuplacer
Complete Free Application for Federal Student Aid (if applicable) LMC FAFSA Code 002277
Attend Information Session at Michigan Works! March 30, 3pm (in-person or virtual)

Step Three (Priority Deadline April 8)

Complete CASAS Testing w/Michigan Works!
Complete 1-on-1 Appointment to Speak with Michigan Works! Staff
Complete 1-on-1 Appointment to Speak with Lake Michigan College Staff
Submit All Required Documents to Michigan Works! (see below)
Meet All Admissions Standards for the LMC Pharmacy Technician Program

Step Four
Complete Interview with Apprenticeship Selection Committee

Step Five (if selected for apprenticeship)
Register for Courses at Lake Michigan College
Complete Offer Letter from Spectrum Lakeland Health (if not a current employee)

Please submit the following required to submit these documents to Michigan Works!, if applicable
• Provide Authorization to Work: (Driver’s License (or state ID Card) AND Social Security Card AND Birth Certificate, US Passport, or eligible non-citizen work authorization
• Provide at least 2 weeks of income (paystubs) for you and your spouse (if applicable)
• Updated Resume
• High School Transcripts/Diploma
• Proof of Veterans Status
• Proof of Selective Service Registration
• Proof of State/Federal Benefits
