Often described as the father of Environmental Justice, Dr. Robert Bullard is not only an award-winning author of eighteen books but also the Distinguished Professor of Urban Planning and Environmental Policy and Director of the Bullard Center for Environmental Justice at Texas Southern University. He has received numerous awards for his contributions to environmental justice, including the United Nations Environmental Program’s Champions of the Earth Lifetime Achievement Award and recognition from Apolitical as one of the 100 Most Influential People in Climate Policy. In 2021, President Biden named him to the White House Environmental Justice Advisory Council (WHEJAC).
