It is our honour to invite all Anishinaabe peoples to the Anishinaabe Nation Gathering in Keeseekoowenin First Nation, Manitoba, Canada on August 13-16, 2019.
The inaugural Anishinaabe Nation Gathering seeks to reunite our prosperous Nation and breakdown the Federal and Provincial borders that divide us. Language, culture, family dynamics, taxation, trade, jurisdiction, and autonomy are some of the areas that will be discussed at the Anishinaabe Nation Gathering. There will be a pow wow demonstration, games, activities, ceremonies, and traditional teachings. When we gather, we will also explore models to address pressing and concerning social issues affecting our people. We aspire to strengthen our relationships with one another and develop successful partnerships.
Transportation and lodging accommodations are your own responsibility, and one feast per day will be supplied. There will be food vendors on site, and there are several hotels, resorts, and campsites in the region.
