OOI Biogeochemical Sensor Datasets Working Group Application
In late spring 2021, we will convene a working group to develop a set of guidelines and best practices for using OOI biogeochemical sensor data, with participation across online synchronous and asynchronous activities. These guidelines will be published as a white paper for distribution to the broader community.

Please review the information below about the planned working group activities, and then proceed to the application form on the following page. Please feel free to contact Hilary Palevsky (palevsky@bc.edu) or Sophie Clayton (sclayton@odu.edu) with any questions.

This application form is to select members of a working group that will convene during 2021 to early 2022. Those selected as working group members are expected to fully participate in all activities, including:

1) Complete/participate in asynchronous online activities in preparation for the synchronous virtual working group meeting this summer (~6 hours)
2) Attend a three-day online synchronous virtual working group meeting summer 2021 (likely in July, scheduled based on members' availability)
3) Prepare contributions to the working group white paper and participate in check-in calls with the full working group over the 2021-2022 academic year
4) Attend an in-person workshop in Woods Hole, MA in summer 2022 planned in conjunction with the OCB summer workshop

We recognize that everyone's schedules and availability continue to be disrupted by the COVID-19 pandemic, and that scheduling may be especially challenging for those with dependent care responsibilities and those in early career stages. We will do our best to accommodate the needs of all working group members.

If you are interested in this activity and its outcomes but are not able to commit to full participation in the activities 1-4 detailed above, the time to participate in this working group, we will continue to provide updates to the community about the working group progress and products through the OOI Facilities Board and the Ocean Carbon and Biogeochemistry (OCB) program.
