Kabbalat Shabbat 9/17/21 Registration!
Sign up to attend in-person Kabbalat Shabbat services *Friday evening (9/17)* at 6:15pm at Hillel!

Below are descriptions of the minyanim offered each week, and please feel free to reach out to the minyan leaders for more information.

Reform -- The Reform minyan is a progressive, creative, and intellectual prayer space rooted in the traditions of the Reform Movement. A rotating group of creative leaders craft engaging services each week, often with accompaniment of guitar or piano from our student songleaders.  All services are full of music and community and open to participants of all backgrounds. Join us in the student lounge!
Minyan leaders: Rebecca Schwartz (rebecca_schwartz@brown.edu) and Ari Zwern (ariana_zwern@brown.edu).

Havurah -- Based on the Hebrew word for “friend,” the Havurah minyan is a songful way to welcome the Sabbath. Havurah strives to be an egalitarian space open to all and with our own style. Our liturgy hues most closely to the Conservative movement while our siddur (prayer book) follows the Reconstructionist movement, including Hebrew, English, and transliteration, and we love a long Kabbalat Shabbat. Join us in the Beit Midrash (room of learning), sitting on chairs or comfy cushions!
Minyan leaders: Michal Loren (michal_loren@brown.edu) and Rachel Sklar (rachel_sklar@brown.edu).

Orthodox -- The Orthodox minyan is a traditional, Orthodox prayer-space led by Rabbi Moshe Moskowitz and student leaders. There is separate seating for men and women in this prayer space. Join us in the meeting room!
Minyan leaders: Gabriel Zuckerman (gabriel_zuckerman@brown.edu) and Yonatan Najman-Licht (yonatan_najman-licht@brown.edu).

To sign up for Shabbat MORNING services on Saturdays, please reach out to Sarah Fenster (sfenster@risd.edu) for the Conservative minyan, Gabe Zuckerman (gabriel_zuckerman@brown.edu) for the Orthodox minyan and Rebecca Schwartz (rebecca_schwartz@brown.edu) if you're interested in the possibility of Reform Shabbat morning services.
