Dear Parents,

You are an important member of our school community. As you know there are various ways that you can be involved with your child’s education.  One way is to attend and be an active member in the parent committees and councils that we offer.

The Casey School Site Council (SSC) is now accepting nominations for parent members.  

The School Site Council serves the students and the school as a governing board by:  
● developing the Single School Plan for Student Achievement (SPSA) with teachers and support staff
● implementing the Single Plan for Student Achievement (SPSA) to increase student learning and promote parent involvement
● monitoring the SPSA to evaluate if it is achieving the focus objectives for all students
● verifying and assuring that money expenditures outlined in the SPSA are used to support our instructional program to advance academic performance

Parent members of the SSC:
● attend the monthly SSC meetings (total of 5)
● actively participate in SSC responsibilities by collaborating with teachers, staff, and school administration
● represent parents in the school community
● become knowledgeable about the Single School Plan for Student Achievement through training provided each school year
