This youth program will give you an opportunity to gain a deeper understanding of yourself and the world around you. In this 12-week program, you will learn about the issues facing our local community and the support resources that are in place to help address them. Through an immersive service-learning experience, you will have the opportunity to serve the community and empathize with the experiences of others. Together with the Impact Maker team and your fellow peers, you will uncover the tools you need to support yourself and others.

• Week 1 - October 4, 2023
  
• Week 12 - Fall 2023 Cohort Ends: Week of December 18, 2023

PROGRAM DETAILS:

For 12 weeks, participants will attend weekly group sessions on Wednesdays from 4:00pm-6:30pm at 1230 Cravens Ave in Torrance and then complete 2-3 additional hours/week of volunteer service at a service-learning placement site on an additional weekday.

PROGRAM REQUIREMENTS:

• Must be a resident of California and must live in the South Bay, Harbor, or Long Beach areas
• Must be a high school student for the 2023-2024 academic year
• Must be available to attend all group sessions and service-learning commitments
