About IB at Greeley West High School
To best prepare students for the IB Diploma Program (11th and 12th grade) and for college, Greeley West offers PreDP/PreAP courses for all 9th and 10th grade scholars. This rigorous pathway supports students in developing skills that support research, reflection and inquiry-based learning. Incoming 9th graders are encouraged to take as many challenging courses as they feel comfortable with.
Throughout 9th and 10th grade, students work on a Personal Project--a passion project to develop their curiosity and interests in creating a better self or a better and more peaceful society. All 10th grade students at GWHS present their MYP Personal Projects in the spring at the IB Showcase. .
The DP is two years of six core classes during your Junior and Senior year of high school at Greeley West that develop your skills in English, World Language, Math, Science, History and the Arts.
