Just 1%-2% of all breast cancers diagnosed each year occur among male patients. As a result, most treatment guidelines have been extracted from studies performed among female patients. GEICAM and INVI are partnering together to change this reality
https://www.geicam.org/actualidad/geicam-y-asociacion-invi-firman-un-acuerdo-de-colaboracionI also would like to do my bit to help out and this is why I am organizing an online Data Science Bootcamp to fundraise for this amazing initiative and raise awareness of male breast cancer. The course will consist of two sessions of 2.5 hours on 22/11/2020.
It is meant for people with little to no coding experience but who would like to get an idea of what terms like AI, data science or the Cloud mean. Perfect to get you started or if you would like to find out what does it mean to work as a data scientist in the healthcare industry. My promise to you is that there will be no boring theory lectures or fancy slide decks, we will learn by doing, 100% hands-on. You will learn with real patient data and attempt to diagnose breast cancer.
Yes, that's right! This winter I have decided to donate my time to teach you a superpower: coding skills. Hence, I would like to ask you to make a small contribution to support male breast cancer research.
To take part in the course, sign up using this form and I will email you with instructions to make the donation. If you just wish to donate but not to take part in the course you can do it directly here:
