2025 Ōrākei Moth Plant Competition Entry Form
Moth Plant is spreading quickly, killing our native plants. Help your local community get on top of controlling this pest plant and win some prize money for your efforts!

If you are a student in the Ōrākei Local Board Area, grab some friends and gather as many Moth Plant Pods and small vines as you can – the team or individual with the most Pods and small vines pulled out by the roots wins!

2 categories to enter into
1. Early Childhood Centres 
2. Open (Primary/Intermediate/Secondary schools)

1. Find moth plant.

2. Remove the pod from the vine and/or each small vine removed by the roots counts as 1 moth plant pod. Pods/seedlings must be collected between the 27th of March and 7th of May 2025 (midnight).

3. Take a photo with your pods! Pods/seedlings must be arranged in easily identifiable/countable groups of 50 and student(s) must be identifiable in the photo. Submit photo(s) by 7th of May 2025 (midnight).

4. Submit the photo(s) to orakeimothplant@gmail.com with your name or team name.
