Sunday Small Groups Registration Form
St. James's Episcopal Church
January 16 to February 20

Back due to popular demand, we are continuing to offer adult education in small, lay-hosted groups. Connect with fellow parishioners and God as you go deep with the topic of your choice for a limited time. They’ll meet for 5-6 Sundays January 16 through February 20.

Groups may have to meet via Zoom should COVID restrictions change. Masks are required.

Registration is not required but is helpful and appreciated.

Questions? Contact the Rev. Hilary Streever 804-355-1779, ext. 319.

DESCRIPTION OF SUNDAY SMALL GROUPS

· Spiritual Practices for Discernment: A Practical Guide (Gibson Hall Conference Room B)
God calls us every day to follow in Jesus’ way. Ever wonder how to listen for God’s voice, will and guidance? Join Bennette Burks for an exploration of Christian spiritual practices for hearing God’s call. This group will read a new book by Christopher Martin, With Gladness: Answering God’s Call in our Everyday Lives; and Henri Nouwen’s Discernment. For more information, contact: Bennette Burks at burks@3-eng.com.

· Fellowship Group (Michaux House Front Parlors)
Just want to hang out and chat? Grab a cup of coffee and meet with other St. Jamesers.

· Spirituality and Creative Expression (Michaux House Basement)
Please join us as we meet together for a time of fellowship, discussion, and creative “making.”  Pack up your drawing pencils, yarn, watercolor, or hand work.  Each week a different theme will be presented as we work on projects and create in community.  Topics include:  listening to Benedictine chants, readings from spiritual books, icons, and scripture.  For more information contact:  Nancy Hein at nancyjoyhein@gmail.com or 804.360.3265 (home).
