WHY VOLUNTEER?
Volunteering and Community Service is an essential factor top colleges look at when reviewing applicants. All volunteer hours recorded at Robolabs Events can count towards school community volunteering hours for non-profit organizations. In addition, through the Robolabs Outreach Program, Robolabs is an approved vendor for the Presidential Volunteer Service Award. Volunteering at events like this one can accumulate towards achieving your own Presidential Volunteer Service Award. POSITIONS AVAILABLE?
For most of the volunteer roles, no robotics experience is required. We will assign volunteering roles based on your availability and experience. So, please do indicate any relevant expertise or preference in this form. We have many roles and we are in need of several volunteers to make this successful.
We are in need of volunteers in several categories:
- Check-In (morning only, you will be assigned to an additional role once check-in is completed)
- Robot Inspection (morning only, you will be given to additional role once check-in is completed)
- Judging
- Queuing / Runners
- Running Skills Field
- Match Scorers
- Referee
- Emcee / Announcer
- Tournament Manager Software
- Field Resetting
IMPORTANT - only commit to coming to an event if you are 100% sure you can come. It is your responsibility to make sure you are available for the whole day. Any questions regarding availability, reach out to the contact information below.
