POLICY REGARDING CREDIT FOR HIGH SCHOOL MATH CLASSES: High school-level math classes (including courses offered in conjunction with a community college but which do not carry college-level credit) may not be used to satisfy the Math 53 (Calc 3/multivariable calculus) and Math 54 (linear algebra & differential equations) math requirements. If you took a course that you believe may substitute for Math 53 or 54, follow the guidelines below to have it evaluated for equivalency by Berkeley's Math Department. Send the evaluation results to your adviser, who will review them with our Undergraduate Dean. Please note that we do NOT recommend using non-Berkeley math courses to satisfy CoC math requirements.
College or University / City & State / Qtr or Sem / Term & Year / Course & # / Course Title / Units / Grade (one course per line)
Evaluation Guidelines for non-UC Berkeley Math & Physics courses
For math and physics courses taken at any institution other than a California Community College, please follow these guidelines to have them evaluated for equivalency to UC Berkeley courses:

PHYSICS -- Complete your evaluation request ASAP
- Evaluation request form: https://forms.gle/ZpptPzb4g3dz8SMD9
- The evaluation process can take up to 6 weeks. Contact Kathleen Cooney (kathleen.cooney@berkeley.edu), Physics Undergraduate Advising, for more info. Send the completed evaluation to your CoC adviser.

MATH courses must be evaluated by the Math Department's Course Equivalency adviser (courseequiv@math.berkeley.edu). Math course equivalency requests must include:

- A detailed syllabus/course outline showing which sections of the textbook were covered
- The textbook's table of contents
Go to https://math.berkeley.edu/courses/course-equivalency for more info.

Send the completed evaluation to your adviser.
