2021 Owasippe Special Dietary Request
If you or your child require dietary accommodation, please complete this form AT LEAST THREE WEEKS prior to arrival at summer camp.
NOTE: Our food service staff is able to accommodate most reasonable dietary needs, including vegetarian, religious, medical, or allergy-related accommodations. However, we are not able to accommodate dietary preferences. Depending on the type of alternative food products required, additional costs may be charged. Likewise, some families prefer to provide alternative food items, which we are able to store during your stay at camp.
Due to the constraints of a summer camp environment, we cannot guarantee an allergen-free environment. While allergy-related accommodations/foods are prepared separately, they are are prepared in a kitchen which also prepares egg, milk, nut, wheat, soy products, and other potential allergens; and cross-contamination can occur. If your/your child's allergy is severe, please contact the camp to discuss if the camp's procedures and protocols can properly meet your/your child's needs.
In attending/sending your child to camp, the family acknowledges that the camper has reasonable knowledge of his/her dietary constraints and can manage his/her own food choices, including self-advocacy. Each camper with a special dietary plan will interact with the camp food service staff on arrival day to discuss the individual's plan.
