AIJC African Investigative Journalist of the Year Award / Prix du Journaliste d’investigation africain de l’année AIJC

All African journalists are invited to submit entries for the AIJC African Investigative Journalist of the Year Award.

The Award, supported by ABSA, recognises outstanding examples of investigative reporting from Africa that reveal untold stories, hold the powerful to account, question those in public life and serve the public interest. The prize is $5 000.

The Award is open to all journalists or teams of journalists working in any media for stories from and about Africa published or broadcast in African media between 1 June 2022 and 1 June 2023.

Entries close at 14H00 on 15 September 2023 . The award ceremony will be held at the African Investigative Journalism Conference in Johannesburg, Nov 20-22 2023.


Prix du Journaliste d’investigation africain de l’année AIJC

Tous les journalistes africains sont invités à soumettre des candidatures pour le prix ABSA-AIJC du journaliste d’investigation africain de l’année.

Ce prix récompense des exemples exceptionnels de reportages d’investigation en Afrique qui révèlent des histoires inédites, demandent des comptes au pouvoir, remettent en question les acteurs de la vie publique et servent l’intérêt public général. Le prix est de 5 000 dollars.

Il est ouvert à tous les journalistes ou équipes de journalistes en Afrique travaillant dans tous les secteurs des médias pour des articles sur l’Afrique publiés ou diffusés dans des médias africains entre le 1er juin 2022 et le 31 mai 2023.

Le délai de dépôt de candidatures est le 15er septembre 2023 à 14 h. La cérémonie de remise des prix aura lieu lors de la Conférence africaine sur le journalisme d’investigation à Johannesburg, du 20 au 22 novembre 2023.
