AGS Geography Teacher Fellows Initiative Application 2019-2020
Thank you for your interest in the American Geographical Society (AGS) Geography Teacher Fellows Initiative. This initiative is a selective nationwide professional development program for Human Geography Teachers. It was started in 2016 as a means to recognize  these teachers and provide them with a special year-long development program focused on enhancing their geographic and geospatial awareness and capabilities.  AGS wishes to share the power of Geography with teachers and students alike.
 
Eligibility:
1. Applicants of the AGS Geography Teacher Fellows Initiative must be an active Human Geography teacher during their term as a Fellow.

2. Upon acceptance, selected Fellows acquire Principal permission and commit to attend the entire Symposium and related activities on November 21-23, 2019.

3. In order to accommodate new incoming applicants, the current class (2018-2019) must wait one year to re-apply.
