The Mother Theresa Memorial Euro-Bash
EuroHash 23 BASH - The Mother Theresa Memorial Bash ####THIS EVENT IS NOW FULLY BOOKED, SO PLEASE DO NOT REGISTER#### The Bash Hares : I Like Your Boobs, Hidden Asset, Dr Flatus, and Sloppy Stool (helping with registration but unfortunately unable to join the Bash) - are hereby excited to offically announce the Mother Theresa Memorial Euro-Bash, to take place during Eurohash 2023 at Kastel Brecht! This event is NOT offically part of Eurohash, but is a separate event, organised as per the traditions established at all Eurohash events since Krakow in 2015. About the BASH - This will be a totally flat (for real for a change) journey along the famous River Meuse/Maas, and there is space for 50 Bashers.

When? Friday August 18th 2023 @ 8.30am

Where? Kastel Brecht - the bikes will be delivered to the Eurohash venue, and the Bash will end there too!

What? A casual bike ride along and over the River Meuse/Maas, stopping for refreshments along the way

How far is it? Distance is approx 50km, so probably not suitable for people who have never ridden a bike before. However, it is almost completely flat, with the nearest thing to hills being bridges (or boats) across the river, so anyone who is moderately fit should manage without too much difficulty.

Cost? Cost is 50 Euros per person. This includes;

Bike rental - alas NOT including helmet, so if you want a helmet BRING YOUR OWN!
All beer at the official drink stops
Lunch during the trail
Any other costs associated with setting the trail, such as ferry boat crossings or anything else we think of.
We will meet at 8.30am (for 9am departure) on Friday August 18th 2023, before the official registration for Eurohash 2023 opens. ####THIS EVENT IS NOW FULLY BOOKED, SO PLEASE DO NOT REGISTER#### We have arranged to have the bikes delivered to Kastel Brecht, and will then make our leisurely way along mostly bike paths, with some small, low traffic, local roads, several river crossings (by ferry)…..lunch at a local restaurant…..several drink stops…..as much as possible we will surround the bashers with greenery and rural Limburg bucolic scenes. Jackass will join the team as chief mechanic volunteer, and if you fancy yourself as somewhat skilled in bike fixing skills we ask you to please also step forward to help. Covid policies prevent us providing helmets so if desired please bring your own You may bike at your own speed along a well marked route with a Sweeper to check on wayward or troubled bashers. Of course, like anywhere in the world, when cycling there are dangers and risks you will be asked to understand and acknowledge on the registration form. Why the Mother Theresa Memorial Bash? As many of you probably know, a longtime and founding EuroBash Hare Mother Theresa passed away unexpectedly 2 years ago shortly after Prague Eurohash, so we will have a short moment of remembrance during the trail in his memory, before proceeding to have fun like he would want us to. ####THIS EVENT IS NOW FULLY BOOKED, SO PLEASE DO NOT REGISTER####
