Sarah Norton
Hello. My name is Sarah. I'm the proud parent of a new Koala, Aria, who is Ms. Curry's and Mrs. Barefield's UTK class. I have 13 years experience serving in education: I'm a former middle school science teacher, high school science teacher, high school academic coach, high school assistant principal, and a charter network Director of Operations. I currently work for an educational non-profit. Joining SSC means having the opportunity champion systems and structures that include, affirm, and support the achievement of all students.

Emily Caballero
My husband Eric and I have 3 children, Ben- a 4th grader in Ms. Huss’s class, Ally- a 2nd Grader in Mrs. Jones’s class, and Olivia- a preschooler set to join Jerabek next year. I am an active member of the FFO, serving as Vice President and chairperson for the annual Book Fair. After graduating from UCSD with my MEd and BCLAD (go Tritons!), I taught 1st and 2nd grade for 10 years in National School District before taking time off to be home with our 3 kiddos. I love volunteering my time and energy to Jerabek and am continually impressed by the dedicated teachers, staff, students, and families that make our school so wonderful. I am passionate about early literacy, mental health, and equity in schools, and would work hard to honor and represent all voices from our Jerabek community. I would be thrilled to serve on the SGT/SST committee – thank you for your consideration!

Amy Buntin
My name is Amy Buntin and I have two kids that attend Jerabek, a son who is in 2nd grade and a daughter in UTK. I work part time as a third-grade teacher in the Santee School District. I love working part time because it allows me to volunteer and be part of the Jerabek community. In my spare time I love going to the theatre to see musicals. But my very favorite thing to do, is read with kids. I was an Intervention Resource Teacher for many years, so teaching reading is my specialty! I want to be a part of SSC/SGT so that I can use my knowledge and experience in education to help make important decisions involving our kids and our school. I try to advocate for what I think is best for ALL kids.
Thank you for your participation!
