Why are we doing an application for this event?
Short answer: Chris got a limited number of free registrations in a giveaway in April. This will probably be the only year we take students to D3. Normally it is just too expensive. The listed cost will go toward transportation & lodging. That said, we want to steward this opportunity well and give priority to students who a) genuinely want to go and b) will benefit most from it.
Students, we want to hear from you through these questions. Be honest and thoughtful in your answers. Understand that this is not an audition - we WANT you to go. But we need to hear why you want to go...
Preference will be given to students based on the following criteria (in rank order):
1. Content of student's application
2. Expressed & demonstrated desire to grow in the faith and assume responsibilities within the church
3. Regular participation in youth group, Bible studies, and catechism
4. Regular attendance of Sunday School
5. Church membership at FBC Olney
Applications will be evaluated by the youth pastor, youth ministry workers, and Sunday school teachers.
