Protocols for Reduced Schedules
1. Student's high school schedule takes precedence over outside activities, such as work internships, and/or college classes.
2. ECAP/AACC classes follow AACPS guidelines that only classes not offered at Broadneck High School qualify for ECAP/AACC. If a student needs a class for graduation such as English 12 or College Algebra (FOCA), this class is completed at Broadneck High School (student's home school).
3. Reduced schedule means a reduced schedule, so there is no guarantee of when the high school classes will be scheduled during the school day.
4. Students must be on track to graduate and have met their testing graduation requirements.
5. Students involved in extracurricular activities (i.e. athletics/clubs, etc...) must maintain a 2.0 GPA or higher to be eligible. One failed course will result in ineligibility.
6. No changes to scheduled classes will be made unless the change meets the requirements of Board of Education Policy: Selection and Changing of Courses (IG-RA).
7. Students must comply with county attendance policy and not be considered chronically absent their junior year (attend school more than 90% of the school year).
