The focus of this 21-22 cohort will be on teacher-powered schools as an explicit route to educational equity.
The Teacher-Powered Schools Initiative (TPSI) is focused on growing and supporting teacher-powered teams of educators. The Initiative is driven by the belief that, to make teaching a better job for educators and to make learning more student-centered, those who work most closely with students must make school decisions. It is a grassroots movement inspired by the work of teacher-powered teams like yours.

Teacher-Powered Ambassadors are individuals who exemplify accomplished teaching, innovative collaborative leadership, equitable student-centered learning, and community engagement. These prominent representatives firmly believe in the principles of collaboration and trust among teachers, students, parents, and communities.

Ideal applicants are accomplished educators from teacher-powered schools with expertise in successfully designing student-centered environments for educational equity. The ambassador program is designed for those who have a passion for collaborative leadership and experience sharing power with educators, students, and school communities.
