1. Currently, our adoption fees are as follows: Puppies 0-2 years are $350.00, dogs 3-7 years old are $250.00 and dogs 7 and older are $150.00. Kittens ages 0-11 months are $75.00, cats 1 year and older are $50.00. Our organization is 100% supported by donations and adoption fees.
2. We believe in reducing the pet overpopulation issue by spaying and neutering all pets. If you own an unaltered pet, your application will be denied unless your vet can provide a statement as to why it is deemed medically necessary not to have your pet altered.
3. We are absolutely opposed to declawing cats. You agree to never declaw any cat you have adopted from us.
4. You must be 21 years or older to adopt from us.
5. Friends of Etowah is an all-volunteer rescue, please be patient with us. We will get back to you as soon as possible.

Before your application can be approved, a vet verification on your current pets, a home visit and a landlord check (if applicable) must be completed. Many home visits are done virtually using Messenger, FaceTime or Skype. If you are currently a renter, you must provide up to date contact information for your landlord or property management company or the application will not be processed.
Please notify and give authorization to your landlord and vet's office to release information to Friends of Etowah County Animals and Others.
