Aims of Census
A Working Group is currently being formed comprising of representatives from Venues, Promoters, Contractors / Suppliers and Crew, to lobby government on behalf of the Live Events Industry in Ireland as a whole.

In addition to the Venue and Agency groups, we will also liaise with representatives of Film and TV, the Vintners, Hoteliers, etc as part of the greater hospitality, tourism and entertainment industry.

Among its aims it is hoped that an extension to the COVID payments could be secured for personnel working in our sector.

The purpose of this census is to compile a comprehensive list of all persons working in the Live Events Industry in Ireland including, but not limited to, Venues, Theatres, Outdoor Events & Festivals, Touring Productions, Corporate Events, etc.

The results of the census will therefore enable the representative body to state more precisely how many people work in Live Events in Ireland.

Part of this effort may involve lobbying TDs individually across the country which is why your location has been requested.

We wished to keep the information as simple as possible, little more than would be on a business card or email signature, in order to encourage the greatest possible response.
We would ask that once you have completed and returned, that you take the time to forward on to all collegues to ensure maximum coverage.

The information gathered will only be used to :
1. Ascertain the total numbers of people working in the Live Events Industry in Ireland.
2. Categorise them based on their role or job title.
3. Ascertain what parts of the country they reside.

Should the need arise for the information to be used beyond what is listed above, you will be first contacted for your consent.

The information will be stored for no more than a year after the data is finished being used for the purpose it was gathered for.
The data controllers are those 8 - 10 members of the Working Group and a small team collecting and logging the data.

Yours sincerely,
Event Production Ireland Covid 19 Working Group
