On Saturday, November 23, 2019 the City of Harrisburg will proudly present the annual Holiday Parade in
Downtown Harrisburg. The parade will feature musical acts, floats, parade balloons, food vendors, Awards Ceremony and more. This is a free event that draws over 10,000 attendees each year.
APPLICATIONS ARE DUE FRIDAY, OCTOBER 18. Acceptance will be awarded on a rolling basis as space permits, so we encourage you to apply early for best consideration.
PARADE SCHEDULE:
10am - Parade forms on City Island
12pm - Parade begins
3pm - Awards Reception at Strawberry Square
PARADE THEME:
The theme for this year’s parade is “Winter Wonderland.” All organizations are given the opportunity to enter the "Best in Theme" contest within this application (excludes band, dance, step & drill team units that participate in other contests). The winner will be chosen based on their presentation of the parade theme and will receive a trophy. NO SANTA'S WILL BE PERMITTED with parade entries as we will have one participating already.

PERFORMANCE AREAS
There will be two designated areas for marching bands, dance, step and drill team units to perform at. The performances can not exceed one minute in duration to ensure there are no large gaps in the parade route. The designated areas are in front of the judges table beside the intersection of Market and Second Streets and at the intersection of State and Second Streets.
After submitting your online application and waiver, you must also submit the following to

____ Entry fee payment (if applicable). Please make all checks payable to the Harrisburg Downtown Improvement
District and mail to 10 N 2nd St, Suite 405, Harrisburg, PA 17101 no later than Tuesday, November 5.
